Megan Williams from the Federal Reserve Bank’s Oklahoma City Regional Office will speak at 50 Penn Place from 11:30a.m. to 1p.m. Ms Williams will give an overview of the US, Midwest and Oklahoma economy, along with a discussion of specific economic indicators (e.g. monetary policy, employment, housing, inflation, GDP, energy, agriculture and banking). With the price of oil hovering at low levels, how will that impact Oklahoma's economy? What is happening in the US economy? What is happening in the US economy? Ms. Williams will answer questions after her presentation.

Megan Williams joined the Federal Reserve Bank in 2000 as an Analyst in the Retail Payments Support department. Megan held various supervisory positions in the Retail Payments Support department and served as Assistant Manager in several departments throughout the bank. In March of 2006, Megan assumed her current position as Associate Economist in the Regional Affairs department, where she is responsible for current monetary policy research, District economic surveys, and a variety of economic research projects. In addition to her Associate Economist role, in August 2013, Megan was given responsibilities for supervising research associates and administrative staff in the Kansas City and Oklahoma City Regional Affairs Departments and coordination of District Regional Affairs policies, processes, and strategic objectives. She also serves as Secretary for the Oklahoma City Branch Board of Directors and is the past Board Chair of the Oklahoma Council on Economic Education. Megan holds a BS degree in Finance from Oklahoma State University and a MBA degree from the University of Oklahoma.
